Launching Trees With Roots: Keeping History Alive
Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most powerful. That’s exactly what our client brought to us with their new brand, Trees With Roots - a vision rooted in history, culture and the natural world. Trees aren’t just part of the landscape; they are storytellers. They witness generations, events and change. Trees With Roots exists to preserve that legacy by giving new life to historically significant trees, allowing people to connect with and continue that story.
We were thrilled to be involved from the very beginning. As account manager for the launch, I oversaw the branding, website and social media, turning the idea into a fully realized brand experience. Starting from scratch, we developed a visual identity that reflects the character, history and care at the heart of Trees With Roots. Every design choice, every tone of voice and every social post was created to highlight the beauty, story and significance of these heritage trees.
The brand’s concept is simple but meaningful: Trees With Character to Keep History Alive. Each tree comes from acorns responsibly collected from historically significant trees across Scotland and Northumberland, with the support of landowners. Every sapling carries with it a piece of history, complete with details about its origin, cultural significance and the landscape it came from. The trees are more than plants - they’re living connections to our past, preserving traditional landscapes and ensuring the genetic conservation of heritage trees.
We also built a full e-commerce website, making it easy for people to bring a piece of history into their own gardens or projects. Combined with a launch on social media, Trees With Roots now has a platform to reach people who care about nature, heritage and the stories that live on in our landscapes.
Being part of this launch reminded us why we love our work: bringing a meaningful idea to life, from concept to brand and helping it reach the people it was made for. With Trees With Roots, a simple idea is now keeping history alive, one tree at a time.
